Writing/Producing/Directing

With a career spanning television, film, stage & new media, Marice Tobias was a script supervisor & copywriter in New York, before becoming the first woman to direct commercials.

A campaign for Wells/West brought an offer to be a creative head of the Agency & helm the copy department while continuing to direct all broadcast & non-broadcast production.

Winning numerous awards including a CLIO, she joined the staff of The Petersen Commercial Production Company in Los Angeles, until offered to direct her first film, “PULSEBEAT” for Vestron.

Writing & directing for companies such as CBS, Disney, IMAX, PBS; being story editor for SUNDANCE; a Director Associate of The ACTOR’S STUDIO; currently contributing producer with the feature length documentary “VOICE GODS OF HOLLYWOOD”, & directing Marlon Brando’s last film, the animated “BIG BUG MAN,”—all give Tobias a rich, unique, & varied background from which to bring ideas & projects to life.
